Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to promoting and conducting educational, charitable, religious and social welfare works, rendering mutual aid and assistance to sick and needy members and their families, and providing insurance products and annuities to benefit members, wives and children. We practice the following: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
In our lives as individual Knights and together as a Council we will work for the benefit of those in distress and those who need our help. We will give our time and efforts generously to those projects promoted by our Council to raise funds for charitable causes.
As individual Knights and together as a Council we are united with our Church, with our priests and with our bishops. We stand ready to support, defend, and help them in any way we can. When our bishop identifies a need, we are ready as a council to help him satisfy it. And as our priests ask us to help by volunteering our time and talents and to actively participate in the ministries at the Church, we joyfully answer, “Yes, Father!”
Like brothers in any family we won’t always agree with each other. But we won’t let our differences separate us from each other or prevent us from working together toward our common goals. We will respect those differences and support each other. Our diversity is a valuable asset. It allows us to function effectively on many different projects. It allows us to serve our council and the Church in many different ways.
We love the set of principles under which we operate as set forth in our nation’s founding documents: The Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution of the United States. We love our country and commit to be the best citizens we can be.
