KIDS’ DAY OUT/MOTHERS’ DAY OUT

Younger 2 year old teacher Assistant (part time)

Prince of Peace Mothers’ Day Out is looking for a caring, responsible and reliable teacher assistant, who wants to help make a difference in the lives of little hearts daily.

Requirements:
*Work hours 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on Tuesday/Thursday
*Must be at least 18 years old or older
*High school diploma or equivalent
*Archdiocese Background check, Virtus trainings
*Requires ability to comfortably lift and carry children up to 35 pounds. At times employee may bend, twist, lift, stoop, stand or walk 50% or more of the workday.

Qualifications:
*
Knowledge working in an early childhood setting
*Good communication skills to communicate effectively with parents, peers, and children
*Positive and patient demeanor
*Flexible to meet the requirements of the children and program
*Enthusiastic to work with children from diverse cultures
*Must have flexibility for schedule changes

Responsibilities:
*The Assistant’s main responsibility is helping the teacher supervise children during their activities throughout the day
*Create a safe and fun learning environment
*Establish and maintain positive relationships with teacher, students and parents
*Communicate with parents on student’s growth and progress
*Maintain health and safety of all students
*Additional duties as needed

Faith Formation

Administrative Assistant (full time)

Prince of Peace Catholic Church is seeking a full-time Faith Formation Administrative Assistant. This full time position will provide assistance but is not limited to the Faith Formation Office to include, RCIA Coordinator, Middle and High School Coordinator, and Elementary Coordinator. Must be available to work weekends and some evenings.

Duties & Responsibilities:
*
Welcome and interact with parishioners and visitors.
*
Assists in preparing registration deposits and record accordingly.
*Files and retrieves organizational documents, records and reports – maintaining all files for office in a systematic and organized manner.
*Provides general information and directs people or calls to the appropriate Faith Formation Coordinator.
*Assists with secretarial duties to include English to Spanish translations to all Faith Formation Coordinators.
*Creates and modifies office forms and documents using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
*Monitors inventory of office and requests orders as needed.
*Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries as directed.
*Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of staff and parish information.
*Creates and modifies documents such as invoices, reports, memos, letters and financial information using word processing, spreadsheet, and ParishSOFT.
*May conduct research, compile data and prepare documents for supervisor review.
*Prepares agendas and makes arrangements for meetings.
*Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:
*
Must be highly organized and able to multitask and prioritize.
*Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve and reduce conflict.
*
Strong language skills and professionalism are required.
*Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
*Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parishioners and the general public.
*Spanish speaking and writing skills are preferred.
*Translation and interpretation ability from English to Spanish a plus.
*Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
*Experience with ParishSOFT preferred.
*Associate degree required. Two - three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Liturgical Music

Coordinator (part time)

Prince of Peace Catholic Church is currently seeking candidates for a Part-time Coordinator of Liturgical Music. The primary role is to plan, coordinate, and play the music program in the different church liturgical settings in order to facilitate the full and active participation of the assembly. Must be available to work weekends and some evenings.

Duties & Responsibilities:
*Schedules weekly practices and oversees musicians, cantors, and volunteers.
*Recruits, develops, organizes and trains musicians and volunteers.
*Works directly with Ministry Coordinator in holding auditions for choir members.
*Plans and prepares for holy days of obligation.
*Prepare monthly reports for copyright licenses.
*Participates in choir fundraising events and parish community events.
*Attends monthly liturgy and choir committee meetings.
*Annually prepares budget for any foreseeable expenditures.
*Ensures choir members are up to date with Archdiocesan required trainings and background checks.
*Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as necessary.
*Directly reports to the Ministry Coordinator.

Qualifications:
*Knowledge and appreciation of liturgical arts and practices
*Ability to direct choir members and the congregation.
*Willingness to improve knowledge and skills through course work and professional associations.
*Knowledge of Roman Catholic teachings, parish and diocesan structure.
*Knowledge of church documents and sacred texts pertaining to divine worship, music, and liturgy.
*Ability to perform proficiently in at least one performance area (i.e. piano, organ, or other instrument).
*Ability to train and perform in English. Spanish bi-lingual preferred.
*Ability to work effectively with staff, clergy, and laity.
*Ability to organize, prioritize and utilize effective time management techniques.
*Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
*Ability to carry out multiple tasks, meets deadlines, and implement creative solutions.
*Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
*Strong desire to serve the people of God through sacred music.
*Express enthusiasm towards ones work.
