Like a Mustard Seed
Prince of Peace Capital Campaign
Please explore the Campaign below and prayerfully consider giving to help us reach our combined goal of $7,745,000.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

We all know the parable of the mustard seed, which is found in Matthew 13:32. It is the smallest of seeds. When planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants.

Our mission is to bring God’s love to the world – and to ful ll this mission, we must grow.

Like the mustard seed, we too grow in our faith. When we come together as a community in Christ, the power of our faith grows even stronger. When we come together, as our Lord promised, He is with us. As the Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans, “If God is for us, who is against us?”

Prince of Peace, once small in numbers, has grown. Our parish is about to begin a multi-year e ort as we look to develop our campus to allow our ministries to thrive. As your Pastor, I invite you to come on this journey of faith.

Our journey begins today with this campaign – appropriately called Like the Mustard Seed. This first phase calls for creating the Msgr. Patrick Cronin Parish Life Center, which will open the way for our ministries to sprout and mature.

This e ort is too great to be carried by just a few. I pray that everyone at Prince of Peace join in by supporting this campaign. Just as we have been blessed, it is important that we share those blessings.

Imagine the day when we come together to thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed on our parish and to dedicate the Msgr. Patrick Cronin Parish Life Center. The center will serve as a testimony to what we, as a Parish Family, can accomplish.

Your brother and servant in the priesthood of Jesus Christ,

Fr. Rodolfo Caballero

Friends in Christ:

Just as I was truly blessed to serve as your pastor for over 20 years, I am grateful – and humbled – that Prince of Peace’s new Parish Life Center will be named in my honor.

We at Prince of Peace have a special mission: We are a community united in faith, bringing God’s love to the world. This parish center will help us do just that.

To fulfill our mission, we must keep pace with our growth as a parish. We began with 50 families in 1980 and worshipped in Carlos Coon Elementary School. Now, 38 years later, Prince of Peace has grown to about 5,000 families. Our many ministries need more space. We need additional classrooms and meeting rooms.

I am also excited to be a part of this campaign, appropriately called Like a Mustard Seed. We learn in Colossians 2:6-7 that we are to “walk in Him, having been  rmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and over owing with gratitude.”

While this building will someday bear my name, this honor is not mine. All glory be to Christ.

Msgr. Patrick Cronin

Five Phases; One parish united in Faith

Prince of Peace’s Msgr. Patrick Cronin Parish Life Center will be much more than its name implies. It will be used mornings, afternoons and evenings, seven days a week – and serve as the hub for our many ministries. Space long has been at a premium at Prince of Peace, and the Parish Life Center will remove that barrier. We know that for our ministries to be most e ective, people need space to work, to plan, and to study God’s word and the Catholic teaching. Mostly, they need space to be as a community united in faith. The two-story building will feature 25,000 square feet of space. The  rst  oor includes 10 separate meeting rooms, with the largest able to accommodate gatherings with 22 tables and nearly 140 people. Several meeting rooms will have private restrooms. A kitchen and restrooms will be situated on this  oor, along with storage space. An additional 12 meeting rooms will be situated on the second  oor of the Parish Life Center. A lounge and restrooms also will be located on this floor.

Phase 2: New St. Vincent De Paul Center

A new Saint Vincent de Paul Center will feature space for a clothing room, pantry, classrooms, offices and storage. This is an amazing facility to be able to help serve those in need in and outside of our community.

Phase 3: New Church for Worship

This phase calls for a new church for worship. The 23,000-square- foot building will include seating for 1,200 in the main worship area. The project also features a day chapel, which will seat about 150 people, and a reservation chapel for about 20 people. The project includes an additional 385 parking spots.

Phase 4: Social Hall & Offices

This phase calls for the old church to be converted into a social hall, which will include a kitchen. The social hall will be used for receptions and other events and accommodate audiences of 700 to 1,000. Additional features of this phase include a café, gift shop, office, and meeting space. We will remodel the back classroom area into offices and classroom space.

Phase 5: Gym

The final phase calls for a gymnasium, which will feature two basketball courts and seating for 280 people. The gymnasium will feature a kitchen, restrooms, a ticket office and storage. It will be set up in such a way as to also serve as an auditorium. In this last phase, parking will be added for 516 vehicles and the existing athletic fields will be modified

One Campaign; One Body
