Welcome to our Faith Formation Department

Faith formation classes help children receive what the Church calls catechesis—an organized education in the faith that prepares them for real Christian life, not just religious “information.”

We understand that parents have the primary duty to raise their children in the faith, but the Church and community provide important, complementary support.

Faith formation strengthens the work of the family (without replacing it)

The Church teaches that parents are the first and foremost educators of their children, and family faith should begin in the earliest years through the family’s witness and teaching.
Catechesis from the Church and parish then precedes, accompanies, and enriches that family instruction rather than replacing it.
